Mechanical behavior of mild steel up to rupture: characterization and validation
In this work, the initial anisotropy and its evolution with strain, hardening and rupture of DC04 mild steel are characterized by using (i) a phenomenological constitutive model composed by the non-quadratic Yld2004-18p yield criterion combined with an isotropic hardening law and (ii) a macroscopic rupture criterion. For this purpose, an inverse methodology of material parameters identification...
متن کاملReduction criterion for separability
We introduce a separability criterion based on the positive map #:$ ̃(Tr $)!$ , where $ is a trace-class Hermitian operator. Any separable state is mapped by the tensor product of # and the identity into a nonnegative operator, which provides a simple necessary condition for separability. This condition is generally not sufficient because it is vulnerable to the dilution of entanglement. In the ...
متن کاملA Parameter-Dependent Performance Criterion for Linear Parameter-Varying Systems
Existing control theory for linear parameter-varying systems uses a uniform-in-the-parameters upper bound (a constant scalar) on the induced-L 2 norm. In this paper, this constant is generalized to a function of the parameters; the performance criterion generalizes to an integral quadratic constraint and implies a norm bound that depends naturally on the real-time parameter trajectory. As in ex...
متن کاملAtomistic basis for the plastic yield criterion of metallic glass.
Because of their disordered atomic structure, amorphous metals (termed metallic glasses) have fundamentally different deformation mechanisms compared with polycrystalline metals. These different mechanisms give metallic glasses high strength, but the extent to which they affect other macroscopic deformation properties is uncertain. For example, the nature of the plastic-yield criterion is a poi...
متن کاملA Five-Parameter Yield Surface
This paper is on the elasto-plastic analysis of plane stress problems. A five-parameter yield surface is presented. This yield criterion uses associate flow along with mixed hardening rule. The analytical formulations are written and related computer program for non-linear analysis is prepared. Finally, based on the formulations, numerical examples are solved.
